The fully automatic hulled almond processing line is a production line that can remove almond shells. It includes three main steps: almond grading, almond shelling, and kernel shell separation. Of course, this almond shelling production line can not only remove almond shells, but also process hazelnuts, badam (almonds), macadamia nuts, peach kernels, and other nuts. It is widely used for primary processing in nut processing plants and for deep processing of almond-based food products.

This almond shelling production line has a capacity of 1–3 t/h, with a daily output of 8–24 tons. All parts in contact with the raw materials are made of stainless steel. It features a shell–kernel separation rate of over 95%, an almond breakage rate below 5%, and supports long-time continuous operation.

What Raw Materials can the Hulled Almond Processing Line process?
- Almonds (with shells) – the main raw material.
- Hazelnuts – suitable for shelling and kernel separation.

Production Steps of Almond Cracking and Shelling
This almond shelling production line mainly consists of a lifting conveyor, rotary grading drum, storage hoppers, electromagnetic quantitative feeders, shelling machines, collecting conveyor, and shell–kernel separator, enabling the full-process operations of grading, automatic shelling, and shell–kernel separation. It is suitable for high-capacity, efficient almond processing.

Production Process
- Raw Material Grading: Almonds are fed via a conveyor into a rotary sieve for grading into three or more sizes. Graded almonds enter storage hoppers and are automatically fed into three shelling machines using electromagnetic metering feeders.
- Shelling: Shelling machines have adjustable shelling gaps according to almond size, ensuring clean shelling and intact kernels. Shelled almonds and shells are transported to the kernel-shell separator.
- Kernel-Shell Separation: The separator separates shells from kernels, delivering whole almonds from one outlet and empty shells from another. The system can be custom-designed based on production capacity and almond size.

Lifting Conveyor (Raw Material Feeding)
Used to convey raw almonds from the ground or pre-processing area to the rotary grading drum, ensuring a continuous and stable supply of materials to the production line


Rotary Grading Drum
Performs size grading of the raw almonds, separating them into different specifications. This allows the shelling machines to adjust the shelling gap according to almond size, ensuring clean shell removal and high kernel integrity.
Storage Hopper
Transfers almonds from the storage hopper to the shelling machines in controlled, measured amounts, ensuring efficient shelling and preventing kernel breakage or machine blockage.

The core equipment of the production line, using adjustable shelling gaps to remove shells while keeping kernels intact. Shelled almonds, together with shells, are conveyed to the shell–kernel separator for further processing.
Collecting Conveyor
Gathers the shelled almonds and shells from all shelling machines and transports them to the shell–kernel separator, allowing continuous, centralized material flow.


Shell–Kernel Separator
Separates the shells from the almonds completely. Kernels exit through one outlet while empty shells exit through another, ensuring a high shell–kernel separation rate and minimal kernel breakage for fully automated continuous production.
ग्रेडिंग मशीन
The almond grading machine uses the vibration of a vibrating screen to separate almonds of different sizes and shapes. Almonds enter the vibrating screen from the hopper and, under the vibration of the exciter, move continuously and progressively along the screen surface. Smaller almonds pass through the screen openings, while larger almonds move forward along the screen, achieving automatic grading by size. The machine offers stable grading performance, providing uniformly sized raw materials for subsequent shelling processes, improving overall processing efficiency and almond kernel integrity.
